The name "KITCHO" is what a town painter named Taisui Suma came up with for a restaurant opened in Osaka Shimmachi.
The name of KITCHO originally came from cries "Kitcho and Kitcho” by saleswomen selling "kitcho bamboo grass" on the occasion of Imamiya Shrine Toka Ebisu festival in Osaka.
